Another round of storms today across Acadiana. Some spots got drenches with 1-2 inches of rainfall. Most of the activity will continue to diminish this evening, with a primarily quiet overnight forecast.
Our tropical disturbance Invest 91-L is still nto showing any signs of organization, as expected. The surge of tropical mositure progged to move northwest towards Texas and Louisiana Saturday-Tuesday. This added tropical moisture means thunderstorms that develop will have a little extra “umph” with them. Locally heavy rainfall possible. 1-3+ inches of rain appears likely between Saturday-Tuesday. We will have to monitor the possibility for localized flash flooding.
There will be breaks in the rain each day, but I would definitely have a backup plan for any Father’s Day Festivities planned outdoors this weekend!
