Another stormy day for many across Acadiana. Showers & thunderstorm chances will remain high again on Friday & Saturday, so keep your umbrella close by!
Similar to what we’ve seen the last few weeks, any thunderstorms that develop mid morning through early evening will be capable of producing gusty winds, frequent cloud to ground lightning, and torrential rainfall. Storm motion will be relatively slow with the thunderstorms tomorrow, so be on alert for minor localized street flooding once heavy rain begins.
The postivie? With elevated rain chances…high temps Friday & Saturday in the upper 80s to the low 90s.
By Sunday…and especially by Monday, rain chances will slim to normal summer-time levels at 20-40%, which means high temps will spike in the low-middle 90s!
