As expected, we have been put under a HEAT ADVISORY for this afternoon. Temperatures will reach the mid 90s today, but with dewpoints in the upper 70s, it will feel more like 105° to 110°. There’s only a small chance for showers and thunderstorms today as upper level high pressure will suppress most storms trying that try to form. Remember to take it easy outside and stay hydrated!
Today: A stray storm is possible. Hot. Feels like 105° to 110°. High: 94°
Tonight: Very muggy. Low: 78°
Tomorrow: A stray storm is possible. Hot. Feels like 105° to 110°. High: 95°
Expect the HEAT ADVISORY to be extended for Friday at least. Saturday and Sunday will see an upper level low break the heat ridge and allow for scattered showers and storms. However, temperatures will still reach the low to mid 90s, with a feels like temperatures in the 105° to 110° range. The heat ridge will stick with us through next week, so get ready for more hot temperatures! The tropics remain quiet at this time.
