UPDATE: Dale Henderson with the Iberia Parish School Board spoke to News 15 and said that the School System was in no way affected by this hack.
No students personal information or sensitive information was taken as the hack only targeted the website’s host, SchoolDesk.
We reached out to representatives at SchoolDesk, the hosting company for the two sites, but they are unable to comment at this time.
ORIGINAL STORY: Earlier this morning, Algerian based pro-ISIS group Team System DZ hacked and defaced the websites for the St. Martin and Iberia Parish school systems websites.
The websites were changed to say “I love ISIS” and included a video from YouTube in Arabic.
Team DZ has used the same method in the past when hacking into government websites in Ohio and other states.
Both local websites have since been restored and are working properly
