STUDIO 15 -This week’s KidLit Pick of the Week is “M is for Medicine; P is for Psychology” by Veronica Goodman and Natasha Schvey. M is for Medicine is a humorous, colorful introduction to the language of medicine for preschool-age children. The book features a new medical term for every letter of the alphabet, illustrated by full-color, playful images to entertain parents and children as you move from A to Z.
While I wouldn’t recommend that you use this book to study for the MCAT or instead of seeing a doctor, this book is a great introduction for
children to learn about the medical field. P is for Psychology is an ABC book that introduces readers to the field of psychology. Written by a licensed clinical psychologist and mom, the book features a new term for every letter of the alphabet, drawing from clinical, cognitive, developmental, and social psychology.
This book makes an excellent gift for baby showers or even a clever graduation gift for the soon-to-be psychologist in your life.
