Lafayette, LA (KADN) — The Lafayette Lions football team was on the cusp of the playoffs last season, but they finished just short and finished the year (3-7).  Not bad, after a winless season in 2017, but the Lions are hungry for more. This offseason the Lions attended teams camps at the University of Louisiana, LSU, and in Memphis determined to strengthen team chemistry and execution.

“As an individual, you have to win your one-on-one’s, if you win your one-on-one’s the team will win the plays one at a time. ”  head football coach Rob Poole said.  “We just have to be more consistent in our execution.”

Part of execution is finishing a complete four quarters of football which hurt the Lions at times last season.  The Lions are scheduled to open the season vs. Jeanerette on September 6th.
