According to Sheriff Bobby J. Guidroz, “Detectives with the St. Landry Parish Sheriff’s Office has made another arrest for the May 31, 2019 armed robbery at the Cankton Country Bar.” The case involved two victims that were robbed at gun point of over $4,000 in cash by Raheem Landry. Detectives were able to arrest Landry through tips, interviewing witnesses, and reviewing video footage on June 11, 2019 but continued the investigation after uncovering that Landry had help committing the robbery.
Key evidence was uncovered during the investigation proving that LeSean Conyers was communicating with Landry prior to and during the robbery. Conyers was inside the bar giving Landry information on how much money the victim had on his person and the optimal time to commit the armed robbery. LeSean Conyers was arrested on July 15, 2019 and refused to speak to detectives after his arrest. Conyers was then processed in the parish jail.
On behalf of Sheriff Bobby J. Guidroz, this is Deputy Chief Eddie Thibodeaux. All persons are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
