“As a very tight-knit community, Sabal Palms has come together to show support for their neighbor. Twelve-year-old Lane Begnaud’s favorite holiday is Christmas. Knowing that a battle with terminal cancer may prevent him from celebrating another, neighbors have decorated the community to give he and his family the opportunity to experience his favorite Christmas tradition—driving around to view Christmas lights and decorations.
In a display of solidarity, neighbors would like to officially invite everyone to join Sabal Palms in celebrating #LanesChristmas with them by turning on the lights and decorations in your neighborhood at 7:30pm on Friday, October 5th. As there will likely be an overabundance of homes to view, and the family will not be able to reach them all, please post photos and videos on social media using #LanesChristmas. Doing so will afford Lane the opportunity to not miss out on any of the support on display for him to see.
The Begnaud family would like to thank you all from the bottom of their hearts for all of the love and support during this difficult time. Prayers are all that is being requested, but for anyone that insists on doing more, please visit Lane’s GoFundMe page at: https://www.gofundme.com/lane-begnaud-medical.”
