“Something Borrowed Blooms” is taking the wedding-flower market by storm. Lauren Bercier and her cousin Laken Swan are the founders of the new company that rents silk floral arrangements to brides in a cost efficient way.
When the entrepreneurs first had the idea they decided to really dive in, “If we’re going to do this let’s do it right and let’s do it big. …There’s no reason just to halfway do it. Let’s really make something out of this” says Bercier.
Now, the company is doing almost three hundred weddings a month and heading towards doubling that number by mid-year. Bercier says: “It’s an amazing feeling. I hope that other women can see this and be inspired from it and take that crazy idea that they had and see if they can make something of it. … I would say that you can.”
Bercier attributes their success to determination and being intentional with everything they’ve done so far. She says watching their wild-flower dream become a reality is “amazing”.
