Man Arrested in Murder, Arson Case

East Feliciana Parish – The State Fire Marshal’s Office (SFM) has arrested a Clinton man, already jailed for a recent murder and arson case, for setting two other structures on fire.
Deandre Galmon, 33, was re-booked into the East Feliciana Parish Jail last week on two counts of Simple Arson.
The charges stem from two separate mobile home fire investigations; one from November of 2019, the other from January of this year. The investigations involved the burning of two mobile homes located on the same property in the 5400 block of Gilead Road in Clinton.
Following Galmon’s April arrest by the East Feliciana Sheriff’s Office, with assistance from the SFM, in connection with two murders, an attempted murder and two arsons in Clinton, new information was obtained identifying him as the suspect in the two additional fires.
Following additional investigative efforts, an arrest warrant for the case was obtained and Galmon was booked on the new charges.
