Showers and thunderstorms have formed across Acadiana ahead of a warm front in southeast Louisiana. The warm front will continue lifting north through the day today and temperatures will slowly climb into the lower 70s. Showers and thunderstorms will be possible all day, but the chances decrease once the front passes your location. Mild and muggy air returns overnight as lows will only reach the upper 60s. Fog will be likely tonight, especially after midnight. For the Championship Game in New Orleans, it will be mild and muggy with fog developing through the evening.

Each day this week, high temperatures will increase by a few degrees in the afternoon. Highs will be around 80 degrees by the end of the week. Showers and thunderstorms will also be possible. Fog will develop overnight and make for difficult driving conditions in the early morning. There won’t be any cooler weather around through at least Saturday. Overnight lows won’t fall much, only in the low-to-mid 60s each night. A cold front moves through on Saturday evening, but it won’t bring extremely cold air. Temperatures will fall into the 40s overnight with Sunday afternoon seeing highs in the upper 50s.
