MISSISSIPPI – The Pearl River in Mississippi is flooding and causing major problem for area residents.
News 15’s Hannah St. Claire was in studio to give us the latest details on the flooding. The flooding in Mississippi near Jackson has forced hundreds of people to flee their homes as the Pearl River crests near 37 feet. Which is the third highest recorded level in the state’s history.
More rain is in the forecast and authorities are telling residents who have left their homes to stay away until it’s safe. NBC’s Dan Shinnamon has more details on the story.
