A new study shows that Louisiana is shedding college graduates at a rapid rate. The state of Louisiana is having trouble keeping college graduates in the state. “It’s a lot harder to get opporunities here as opposed to places like Texas and Florida and other states.” says, UL senior Anthont Schiro. He plans to keep his options open after he receives his college degree. Some students say they also want to experience something new. According to a study by a local economist and professor at UL, college educated residents had the worst net migration, which is the number of people moving in minus the number of people moving out.
