It’s going to be a warm next few days with high temperatures across Acadiana near 80 degrees. Expect mostly cloudy skies throughout the day Tuesday and Tuesday night with little to no precipitation. Rain chances will increase Wednesday as a cold front makes it’s way into the region late in the day. Ahead of the front expect a chance of showers and thunderstorms. The Storm Prediction Center has Acadiana under a marginal risk (1 out of 5) of severe weather in the form of damaging winds and a slight chance of an isolated tornado. The front will keep the skies active through Thursday before clearing out. Friday looks to be nice during the day but a slight, 30 percent chance of rain creeps back into the forecast overnight Friday into Saturday morning. Friday temperatures will go down to the lower 60s for your highs and overnight lows in the lower 40s through early next week.
