No Stepstool: Acadiana Basketball Ready to Win

Lafayette, LA (KADN) – The Acadiana Rams football team won a state championship in the fall, now the basketball team is trying to turn around the program after missing the playoffs last season. The hoops program has not made it past the regional round of the playoffs. Currently, the Rams are 28th in power points out of 32 teams. The Rams are 10-12. New coach John Tanner is leading the way after he came back home from central Louisiana. Six football players are on the basketball team.

“It helps alot because they have already come from a winning culture,” Coach John Tanner said. “They understand what it is to work everyday and gameplan and execute a gameplan.”

Tanner is running a new motion-heavy offense. He says the Acadiana administration has given him their full support.
