Jefferson Davis Parish Sheriff’s deputies responded to a incident Thursday night around 9:30 pm when a caller reported a naked man throwing rocks at cars and walking down the roadway near Jennings.
When deputies arrived the black male was walking Eastbound on the service road near I-10 milepost 63. The male attempted to get into the passenger side of one of the patrol vehicles and then crossed onto the shoulder of I-10 and began walking eastbound.
Deputies ordered the subject to stop and attempted to handcuff him. The subject fought with deputies. Once he was handcuffed and placed in the back seat of a patrol unit, the subject kicked the door, damaging the door and breaking the rear passenger window out.
The subject was under the influence of PCP and out of control. Deputies and Jennings Police officers had to place subject in leg irons and strap him down to transport him to the parish jail. The subject Brian K. Petry,37, of 6112 Ranch Road, Youngsville, LA was arrested and charged with Disturbing the peace by intoxication, Simple criminal damage to property, Battery of a police officer, Possession of CDS I, and Battery of correctional facility employee.
At the jail, Petry fought with jail personnel as they tried to place him in restraints. He was transported to the Jennings American Legion hospital for treatment and then returned to the parish jail. He has no bond.
