While the rest of the country is enjoying a weekend of eating and sleeping, a group of workers across Acadiana are gearing up for their single busiest day.
According to Roto-Rooter, a national plumbing and draining service, the day after Thanksgiving is one of the busiest days of the year for residential plumbers but for Veteran Plumber, Kenneth Blanton, so is the day before. He said, ” They’ll call us up for prevention but a lot of times I can’t guarantee what someone is going to put in it after I leave.”
Blanton also said there is proper toilet flushing etiquette that’s worth remembering while visiting loved ones this Thanksgiving. “So when you come to a house that has older pipes, you’ve got to be more cautious. Best rule of thought, if it’s anything that’s cotton based, don’t flush it,” said, Kenneth Blanton.
