Lafayette community leaders took time out to pick up trash on Friday. It’s part of the annual “Leaders Against Litter” program in partnership with the Lieutenant Governor’s Office and “Keep Louisiana Beautiful”.The mayor, chief of police, several businesses leaders and more could be seen picking up trash on Cameron Street in an effort to inspire others to do the same.
Skyra Rideaux, Asst. to Mayor Pres. PFY, “It’s really awesome when you can show people that not only are we asking you to take ownership of our litter problem, we are showing you leaders that you recognize in the community, in the ditch picking up the trash doing the work.”
