Autism Society Acadiana is launching Project Keep Our Kids Safe. The project will provide over 80 AngelSense GPS tracking devices to local families with children on the autism spectrum who wander or elope. The device’s activation fee and monitoring services for three months will be included. Families who receive a device will be responsible for maintaining the service after the initial period. Applications are currently being accepted from AS Acadiana members. Applications will be accepted from the community for any remaining devices later this year. The first GPS device was presented to an AS Acadiana member family at a press conference held this morning in honor of the project launching.
