It’s been a foggy morning across the area with chilly temperatures in the 40s. This afternoon, sunshine will help warm us up into the upper 60s and lower 70s. A few clouds will pepper the sky at times. Tonight, chilly temperatures return as most areas fall into the low-to-mid 40s again. Some patchy, dense fog may form up towards sunrise again.

A quick moving system works its way across the country Thursday. It will bring more moisture out ahead of it Thursday night, setting the stage for showers and maybe a rumble of thunder. Many areas are not likely to see much rain from this system. The showers push east of Acadiana by Noon Friday and the rest of the day will see mostly cloudy conditions with plenty of sunny peaks. Saturday will start off cool in the lower 50s and possibly some fog before warming up into the upper 60s. A chilly night Saturday as temperatures drop off into the upper 40s and lower 50s. We could see another foggy morning Sunday. Highs reach above 70 in the afternoon with passing clouds. Southerly winds increase Sunday night into Monday, bringing Gulf moisture back to the area. Monday will see highs in the upper 70s as a few showers and maybe a thunderstorms develop in the afternoon. A cold front moves in for Tuesday. Temperatures will fall most of the day Tuesday after a high of 60 in the morning. Showers will linger all day Tuesday before finally moving out by Wednesday morning.
