The Saints are closing out the home portion of their regular season schedule against the Colts on Monday Night Football. head coach Sean Payton explained there’s a lot of things they want to clean-up from the loss to the 49ers. Self-improvement always the goal especially at this stage in the game with just 3 games left in the regular season.
“I always feel like we are our harshest critics regardless of what’s being said outside the building,” Saints Quarterback Drew Brees said. “So lets’ just say we would have won that game. People might have been singing our praises in certain ways right. To me you are still thinking about the plays the got away that you could have capitalized on and just continue to improve.”
“We just want to be consistent down the stretch,” Saints Linebacker Demario Davis said. “There are always just little things you can do to be consistent down the stretch. we want to find those little nuances.”
The Monday night football game is a rematch of the Saints Super Bowl win against the Colts from the 2009 season. However, Drew Brees explained that most of the guys from those teams are gone so he won’t be thinking about that when he hits the field on Monday.
