Second Suspect Arrested On Ten Counts Of Attempted Murder In Connection With April 11, 2019 Incident In Breaux Bridge

(St. Martinville, LA.)-In the late afternoon of April 11, 2019, Deputies with the St. Martin Parish Sheriff’s Office responded to a report of shots being fired at several individuals at a residence in the 1000 block of Roy J. Melancon Road in Breaux Bridge, LA. Upon initial investigation, St. Martin Parish Sheriff’s Office Investigators learned that two black male subjects had driven by the house and fired several shots at the individuals who were in the yard of the residence. Three of the ten victims were under the age of ten and no injuries were sustained as a result of the shooting. Following further investigation into the incident, Investigators were able to identify one of the suspects as Tyrell Livings, 23, Breaux Bridge, LA. He was subsequently arrested on April 26, 2019 and charged in connection with the incident.

On April 30, 2019, following further investigation into the incident, a warrant of arrest was obtained for a second suspect, Denzel Livings, 26, Lafayette, LA.

On May 6, 2019, he was arrested by officials with the U.S. Marshals Violent Offender Task Force on the outstanding warrant for Attempted 1st Degree Murder (10 counts), as well as other unrelated charges at a motel in Lafayette, LA., and was booked into the Lafayette Parish Correctional Center.

Tuesday morning, July 30, 2019, he was transported from the Lafayette Parish Correctional Center to the St. Martin Parish Correctional Center where he was booked in on the following charges related to the April 11, 2019 incident:
