Tonight: 54° Mostly Clear
Tomorrow: 77° Partly Cloudy
Monday: Low: 65° High: 78° Mostly Cloudy. Chance of storms in the afternoon and evening. Some of which could be severe.
Closing out the weekend Sunday looks to be a warm and dry day. Thanks to high pressure to our southeast, southerly flow will allow for moisture and warmer conditions to be transported into the region. This allows for highs in the upper 70’s on both Sunday and Monday. On Monday, along with the warm and moist conditions we see a cold front moving through. Right now the chance for severe weather exists as ahead of the cold front. While as of right now the best conditions for severe weather are to our north, the Storm Prediction Center does have areas from Lafayette northwards under a slight (Level 2) risk of severe weather. At this point in time, all severe weather types (wind, hail, and tornadoes) look to be possible if any supercells form ahead of the front.
After frontal passage and going into Tuesday things are looking much colder with highs in the 50’s and lows around freezing for several days. We do begin to warm up into the 60’s once again by late week into weekend.
