Showers at Times, Cold Mornings Ahead

Video Forecast

Cloud cover will keep things gray all day with only a peak or two of sunshine possible. Showers will move through Acadiana from time to time. They will only last for a few minutes and be more of the nuisance rain rather than anything too heavy. Highs will struggle and just briefly top out above 50 degrees before falling back into the 40s. Tonight, skies clear from west to east and drier air filters in. Temperatures will fall into the mid 30s with a bit of a northerly breeze to keep things very chilly.
Today: Cloud and cool. Showers at times. High: 51°
Tonight: Clouds early, clearing late. Cold. Low: 36°
Friday: A few clouds develop in the afternoon. Otherwise sunny. High: 58°
Friday will start out chilly, but with plentiful sunshine it will feel so nice in the afternoon. Highs will top out near 60. Saturday morning, cold temperatures return to Acadiana. A light freeze is expected north of Interstate 10. Since we have already seen hard freeze conditions, this shouldn’t have much of an impact other than a frosty start to the day. Afternoon highs will top 60 degrees with lots of sunshine. The warming trend continues through the weekend and into next week. A stray shower is possible Monday, but warm weather (70 degrees!) will return to Acadiana with cool morning lows in the mid-to-upper 40s.
