UPDATE:Arrest Made in Shooting on S. St. Antoine

UPDATE (3/4/2020 6:18PM)–  Lafayette- On March 4, 2020 Lafayette Police in conjunction with the U.S. Marshalls Service Violent Offender Task Force arrested and located the suspect responsible for the shooting inside a local banquet hall located in the 200 block of S. St. Antoine St. on 2/25/20.

27-year-old Cody L. Williams of Breaux Bridge was arrested on an active warrant in New Iberia. He was arrested and booked into the Lafayette Parish Correctional Center for 6-counts of Attempted First Degree Murder, Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon and Illegal Discharge of a Firearm. Lafayette Police would like to thank the public for their assistance in identifying the person responsible for this incident.

 

 

Lafayette- At approximately 1:23 am, Lafayette Police responded to a local banquet hall in the 200 block of S. St. Antoine St. in reference to someone discharging a weapon inside.

Upon arrival officers located six victims. All victims suffered non-life threatening injuries; some were transported to a local hospital and were later released.

At this time no arrest(s) have been made. The investigation remains on-going. Anyone with information regarding the shooting is urged to call Lafayette Police or Lafayette Crime Stoppers at 232-TIPS.
