South Louisiana’s T.H. Harris Campus in Opelousas held a career and transfer fair for students today.
The event introduced students to dozens of prospective employers in a range of fields, as well as several area universities where students might want to pursue further education opportunities.
Campus Director Erika Milton says the event aims to present students with different options regarding college choice, financial aid, and choosing a major.
“The advantage of attending a two-year college, of course: costs. The differences costs anywhere from $2 to $3 thousand dollars. So it’s definitely an advantage to attend a community college, a two-year college, first, then transfer to a four-year college.”
Represented at today’s event where LSU-A, Louisiana Tech and Northwestern State.
