EUNICE -Mayor Scott Fontenot has declared a State of Emergency for the City of Eunice.

This declaration has been made to follow in line with the federal and state declarations of emergency. Below are examples/reasons for the declaration.

-It puts the Mayor’s emergency authority itemized in law into effect.
-It triggers emergency bidding, contracting, and purchasing procedures.
-It establishes the incident period for the municipality, which may vary from the parish.
-It promotes efficient tracking of COVID-19 related expenses in the event that an additional disaster occurs (flooding, hurricane, etc.) and streamline access to future funding.
