Summer Zydeco & Soul Festival Set to Take Place on July 27 at SugArena

New Iberia, LA – On July 27, 2019, Pelican Entertainment will host the Summer Zydeco & Soul Festival from 12:00 p.m. – 10:00 p.m. at the SugArena Acadiana Fairgrounds. The one-day festival will bring together family and friends to celebrate Creole culture, food, zydeco and soul music.
“As a nod to our heritage, we’re excited to bring a new cultural experience to the market,” said Marlin Hollins, Summer Zydeco & Soul Festival organizer and Owner of The Krewe. “We encourage everyone to put on their dancing shoes and show up to have a great time!”
The festival will showcase the best in zydeco music. Tucka, Roi “Chip” Anthony, Lil Nate, and JJ Callier are among the hometown favorites that will perform live. Attendees will also enjoy some of the most popular cajun cuisine including boudin, fried alligator, fried fish, funnel cakes, and more.
RV campers are also encouraged to arrive on Friday, July 26 for an overnight stay. 50 amp and 30 amp packages are available that include electrical and water hook ups, VIP festival tickets and drink tickets. These campers will enjoy a pre-party with entertainment from DJ Chill and complimentary food.
Aside from celebrating Creole culture, food and zydeco music, the festival will serve a good cause. A portion of the proceeds will support Southern University at Baton Rouge and Grambling University’s soccer program.
