Suspect Sought in New Orleans Shooting


NEW ORLEANS – The NOPD is seeking the public’s assistance in locating and identifying a suspect in the investigation of an aggravated battery by shooting that occurred in the early hours of Tuesday (February 25, 2020) in the 4000 block of South Derbigny Street.

At about 4:09 a.m., the victim reportedly came upon a vehicle burglary in progress of his own vehicle. While inside of the vehicle, the pictured alleged perpetrator produced a firearm and reportedly shot the victim before fleeing on foot in an unknown direction. The victim was transported to a local hospital for treatment.

The perpetrator was described to be an unknown black male approximately in his 20s with a thin stature, dark complexion and twist hair style which possibly contained blonde tips.
