The Salvation Army adds 20 more beds after flooding in Lafayette

The flash flooding took many by surprise including a representative from one local homeless shelter. The Salvation Army Men’s Shelter was spared by the flash flooding, unlike two other shelters, St. Joseph’s Shelter for Men and St. Michael’s center for Veterans. Tonight, the Salvation Army,  are welcoming 20 men from one of the affected shelters. One man I spoke to says he’s grateful that the Salvation Army has welcomed him with open arms.
