Another heat advisory will go into effect later this morning as we see our feels like temperatures reach the 105° to 110° range again. A little difference though is that showers and storms will begin to develop in the afternoon ahead of a “cold” front. Unfortunately, they won’t start forming until after we get hot, but they will help to cool us off later on. Some of the storms could be strong to severe, so we have a Marginal (level 1 of 5) severe risk for this afternoon, mainly for some strong, gusty winds.
Today: Hot and humid. Storms developing in the afternoon. Some storms could be severe. Heat index 105° to 110°. High: 94°
Tonight: Showers and storms end early, clearing late. Low: 76°
Thursday: A few coastal storms. Hot. High: 91°
We will see drier conditions Thursday and Friday as the front stalls along the coast. A few coastal storms are possible, but the majority of the area will see partly cloudy conditions and typical summer heat. By the weekend, spotty showers and storms will return to the forecast and temperatures will remain in the lower 90s. The tropics remain quiet for now.
