Tonight: Becoming mostly cloudy and very cold. Lo: 35.
Tomorrow: Mostly cloudy with late showers. Chilly. Hi: 55.
Thursday: On the mild side with showers and a few thunderstorms. Hi: 68.
Acadiana is in store for one more cold night with high pressure remaining in control the next 24 hours. Temps will not dip below freezing for most areas tonight as clouds rush in to insulate the atmosphere somewhat. However, a few rural areas could still get near the freezing mark and some patchy frost is possible away from the bigger cities. Tomorrow will be another cold day with temps not reaching the 60s due to little sunshine and leftover cold air in place. Look for the wind to begin out of the east and southeast and become breezy at times late Wednesday as showers move in from the west. An area of low pressure will track along the Gulf Coast and head towards LA with rain overnight into Thursday. A few thunderstorms could form along the warm front as it advances near the immediate coast. Around 1 inch of rainfall is expected for the storm by the time it exits later on Thursday. On Friday the sky will clear and it will be mild into the weekend with light wind and times of sun and clouds.
