“Barry” will have significant impacts for Acadiana into the weekend. Landfall is expected tomorrow morning around daybreak at the coast between Vermilion Parish and St. Mary Parish. 3 to 6 feet of storm surge is expected for coastal Parishes. 3 to 15 inches of rain could fall in Acadiana through the weekend. Flash flooding is likely. Power outages are also expected as wind gusts may reach more than 50 to 70 mph or higher at times on Saturday.
