Tropical Depression Imelda continues to sit over east Texas and spin nearly stationary with us seeing on and off periods of rain through tomorrow. You can expect tropical downpours at times with gusty winds. As the remnants of Imelda move away from Acadiana we will dry out this weekend with only an isolated shower or thunderstorm. Next week will start off with a lot less rain and warmer temperatures in the low to mid 90s.
Hurricane Humberto remains a “fish storm” with no impact on the United States expected as it moves into the open Atlantic.
Tropical Storm Jerry is several days away from any impacts to the Bahamas potentially. It is not known if Jerry will recurve out to sea or not. We will have a better idea by next week.
There are 2 other tropical waves in the Atlantic Basin with a low chance for development in the next 2 to 5 days.
