LOUISIANA- Tropical Storm Barry continues to weaken this morning with max sustained winds dropping to 45 MPH and a few stronger gusts. Those TS force winds extend about 200 miles from the center of the storm which is about 45 miles WSW of Alexandria.
Barry will continue moving towards the north throughout the day and will likely be downgraded to depression status this evening. Much of the rain associated with Barry still stretches far into the Gulf of Mexico.
The threat for flash flooding continues today and some areas could see 10-15 inches of additional rainfall, 20 inches in isolated areas. Folks should continue to shelter-in-place throughout the day today as recovery efforts begin and flooding is still a threat.
