The next cold front moves in on Thursday. Ahead of it, showers, and possibly a thunderstorm, will move through Acadiana throughout the day. A warm, southerly flow will help temperatures once again reach the upper 70s for highs. The front moves through during the evening hours. Behind it, colder air filters down, but rain chances remain as the front slowly moves offshore. Showers linger through Friday morning, especially along the coast. Highs Friday will struggle to reach the upper 50s. For Friday night football games, it will be cold, cloudy, and damp, but any showers will have cleared the coast. Most of Acadiana will see lows right around 40 Saturday morning. A brief warmup occurs Sunday afternoon before a very strong cold front pushes in Monday night and Tuesday. behind this, freezing temperatures look to be a possibility across a large portion of Acadiana as highs next Tuesday struggle to get out of the 40s.
