Happy Wednesday All!
Woah! It actually feels bearable outside this afternoon after a weak cold front passed through the area early this morning! Temperatures climbed into the mid to upper 80s this afternoon(still 3-5 degrees above average), but it was much less humid for most of the afternoon! This evening will be pleasant with a light breeze, bearable humidity, and slightly lower temperatures. Overnight lows in the mid to upper 60s.
Tomorrow…the warm up begins once again. Humidity will still remain a touch lower through Thursday. High temperatures in the upper 80s. Dry conditions remain in place.
Friday-Sunday: Festival Acadiens Et Creole looks good to go with no significant storm systems moving our way. This means predominantly dry weather conditions. However, it will be very hot and humid. High temperatures in the upper 80s to the lower 90s. Sunscreen, sunglasses, short-sleeves, and lots of water will be be critical to enjoying the festival. Late Sunday afternoon, we may have a few spotty thunderstorms around as a COLD FRONT approaches from the northwest.
Forecast models remain hopeful that we will see our first taste of fall by Monday morning as a stout cold front approaches! A big drop in humidity & temperatures appears increasingly likely for Monday-Wednesday. High temperatures in the upper 70s-low 80s, and overnight lows in the lower 60s…some locations near the upper 50s!
Have a great Wednesday!
