Tonight: Increasing clouds and dry. Cool. Lo: 52.
Veterans Day: Warm with plenty of clouds. Rain arrives in the afternoon through evening. Hi: 78.
Tuesday: Morning showers ending with cloudy, windy and very cold conditions. Hi: 43.
Before the next cold front arrives a warm and cloudy Veterans Day is on tap. Temps will soar into the upper 70s tomorrow with a southerly breeze. Rain arrives ahead of the cold front to give us a wet Monday evening. Look for the much talked-about strong cold front to arrive overnight into Tuesday morning. The rain will end and the wind will pick-up in a big way with gusts of more than 30 mph. Clouds will stick around and the cold air will rush into Acadiana making the mid 40s a struggle for high temps Tuesday. Tuesday night into Wednesday morning will be the coldest in several months. A hard freeze is expected for the I-10 corridor Wednesday and a light freeze could impact the coast. Wednesday will see much less wind and almost as cold temperatures in the afternoon with some sun. Then, scattered showers could move through the Gulf Coast on Thursday, but this is not guaranteed. Regardless, a nice warm-up is expected for the weekend with mid to upper 60s for highs.
