Temperatures are between 15 and 20 degrees warmer this morning than yesterday. Clouds have moved into the region and a few light showers have developed near the Texas/Louisiana state line. Though rain chances are very limited today, it’s not out of the question a sprinkle or two pop up across Acadiana. Temperatures will warm into the low 70s this afternoon with partly cloudy skies. Tonight, a light northeasterly breeze will allow temperatures to fall into the low-to-mid 50s again.
Today: Partly cloudy. A stray shower is possible. High: 72°
Tonight: A few clouds from time to time. Low: 54°
Wednesday: Partly cloudy. Warm. High: 76°
Upper 70s will be likely both Wednesday and Thursday ahead of a cold front. The front will move through overnight Thursday. A few thunderstorms will be possible in the afternoon Thursday. Most of the rain won’t fall until after the front passes. Right now, it looks like most of the area will just see showers. The severe risk looks almost non-existent, but we will keep you updated on this through the next few days. Clouds linger on Friday with cooler temperatures. Highs will top out in the upper 50s. Overnight lows through the weekend will be in the lower 40s and highs will be in the 60s. Monday will see another, stronger front move through Acadiana. This front looks to bring very cold air behind it, with 30s returning to the forecast for lows next week.
