Winter Returns and Then the Big Warm-Up

Video Forecast

Tonight: Clouds and stars. Cold with a light freeze. Lo: 38.

Tomorrow: A sunny sky and chilly. Dry. Hi: 56.
Saturday: Increasing clouds late with showers overnight. Mild. Hi: 65.
The clouds will break up tonight, but it will be quite cold with lows dropping into the mid to upper 30s and a light freeze for Parishes north of I-10. Look for plenty of sunshine tomorrow, but that won’t help the temperature go up that much with highs about 10 degrees below average in the mid 50s. Yet another cold night will be upon us for Friday night into Saturday morning with upper 30s and low 40s. However, Saturday afternoon will see a return to the mid 60s, which is right on par for Winter standards. Showers will also return to the region as we head into Saturday night and Sunday with a warmer southerly flow. Look for the on and off showers to persist into next week with warm temps making a run for 80 by early next week and more humidity. Finally, a cold front is set to move through Acadiana by mid week, cooling us down into the 60s and 50s for highs, but showers will continue.
